There’s no doubt that the APA’s 40th Annual Payroll Congress May 10-13, at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas, will be truly special when we all can finally see one another in person for the event. In fact, everyone can agree that we have all missed the smiling faces of colleagues and friends and the camaraderie that comes with attending Payroll Congress. Our hearts are full knowing we can finally see one another again face to face.

However, for that to happen, the APA must consider the safety of all those onsite at in-person events to be its top priority. As such, the APA has updated its health and safety policies for all its 2022 in-person events, which includes the 2022 Payroll Congress.

We have also highlighted additional measures that we are taking in collaboration with our host venues to create a safe and comfortable onsite experience.

Additionally, the APA will require event attendees, staff members, speakers, and exhibitors to provide proof they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 for Payroll Congress, and all other in-person events in 2022. The vaccination must be one that is approved for emergency use by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or World Health Organization (WHO), which you can find here.

The APA will use the Clear Health Pass to verify proof of vaccination for event attendees, staff members, speakers, and exhibitors for all APA in-person events. Health Pass is a free feature in the CLEAR app and a paid annual standard membership to CLEAR is not required.

The APA will also be following the prescribed state and local guidelines for masks and face coverings. Attendees will be able to wear their own mask or use any of the disposable masks available during Payroll Congress. Hand sanitizing stations will also be available.

For questions related to the 2022 APA Event Health and Safety Policies, review the APA’s frequently asked questions webpage at https://www.americanpayroll.org/health-and-safety-faq. Continue to refer to this page for any updates or changes ahead of Payroll Congress as we continue to monitor the ongoing pandemic situation and adjust our plans as necessary in adherence with additional health and safety mandates as issued by local, state, and federal entities.

Rest assured that the APA places the highest priority on the health and well-being of its members and customers. It is of the upmost importance to us, and we believe requiring vaccination is necessary to ensure the health and safety of all our guests.

With strong public health protocols in place, we look forward to welcoming you back to this year’s Payroll Congress! We thank you for your commitment to protecting the health and well-being of your fellow Payroll Congress participants. Don’t forget to save your seat and be part of the 40th Annual Payroll Congress May 10-13, 2022, in Las Vegas by registering on the APA website.
