First Free Payroll Solutions Showcase Event Benefits Global Payroll Pros

While individuals and corporations can finally see a light at the end of the pandemic tunnel, there’s one thing the last 15 months have proven … that creative solutions are needed to help bridge the social distancing gap businesses have been feeling. Last year, and continuing into the first half of 2021, few, if any, in-person conferences have taken place across major industries—including global payroll.

During this time, companies have been trying to gain a better understanding of the challenges global payroll professionals are facing. And global payroll professionals want to share their expertise and learn how they might be able to partner with businesses to solve their specific problems—some that may have even emerged because of the pandemic itself. That’s where the Global Payroll Management Institute (GPMI) and the American Payroll Association (APA) are stepping in to help.

To solve the growing need for global payroll industry service providers (vendors) to reach prospective buyers in 2021, the GPMI and APA have created the inaugural Payroll Solutions Showcase—a free, virtual event scheduled for 13 July from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. ET that will remain available on demand until 31 December. Register on the APA website under the “Conferences” tab.

Find the Right Solutions

In this interactive event, vendors and companies will be able to seek out the best solutions to their specific global payroll problems by participating in product demos, case studies, product user interface sessions, and  panel discussions.

“I think it’s important that people can come together in the easiest way possible to discuss business challenges and find out how we can help each other,” said Tara O’Sullivan, Chief Marketing Officer of showcase participant Immedis. “Everything we do in global payroll is focused on helping organizations streamline, simplify, and accelerate accurate payroll delivery.”

Dan Maddux, GPMI President and APA Executive Director, said the showcase helps to fill a growing global need.

“The payroll industry landscape has changed over the last year, which has affected businesses globally,” he said. “The Payroll Solutions Showcase will offer companies and vendors an opportunity to see how payroll plays one of the largest global roles in the future of work and pay.”

Brent Gow, CPP, Managing Partner at BRGow & Associates LLC, believes a virtual event like the Payroll Solutions Showcase will enhance specific discussions in industries across the globe. He also sees it as an intimate event that can provide best practice options from the service providers based on those discussions they have with potential customers.

“It can be difficult to get one-on-one time with a service provider at larger events like Payroll Congress,” Gow said. “Scheduling interactive product demos based on pre-scheduled business requirements from the payroll team and learning how other companies use case studies will help payroll departments. As they listen to other industry leaders, new ideas may surface that will benefit their payroll team through automation and cost savings.”

For Ireland-based Immedis, the Payroll Solutions Showcase will offer a unique opportunity to interact directly with global payroll professionals, gain a better understanding of the challenges they are facing, and share expertise and how they can work together with global payroll pros to solve problems.

“We take on the complexity, so organizations and payroll teams don’t have to,” O’Sullivan said. “What better opportunity is there than the Payroll Solutions Showcase to talk about these challenges and to demonstrate how we can help?”

Linda Obertin, CPP, Director of Shared Services at DXC Technology, is looking forward to the Payroll Solutions Showcase because it will be a more “holistic, solution-based forum” that can meet the “complex business requirements” of companies across the globe.

“Payroll leaders and their teams need to be aware of the multiple options available to provide effective and compliant solutions for organizations,” Obertin said. “As a responsible leader, it is critical to monitor and stay informed of industry trends and potential solutions for our firm to deliver the highest quality and most effective services.”
