Ceridian Officially Becomes Dayforce

Global human capital management (HCM) company Dayforce, Inc., announced its change in legal name and brand from Ceridian to Dayforce, taking its name from the company’s flagship HCM platform.

Global Payments, Commerzbank Announce Joint Germany Venture

Global Payments Inc., a payment technology and software solutions provider, and Germany’s Commerzbank announced a joint venture to offer digital payment solutions to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across Germany. The new entity, Commerz Globalpay GmbH, is expected to launch in the first half of 2024 and will provide a suite of omnichannel payment and software solutions at scale.

Commerz Globalpay GmbH will offer integrated digital payment capabilities, including smartphone-based payment applications enabling merchants to accept mobile payments without a separate card reader, modern card terminals, and e-commerce/mobile payment solutions. Business customers will have access to a variety of services, including cloud-based point-of-sale software, customer loyalty programs, an analytics and customer engagement platform, and more.

Ramco Systems Announces Partnership With BDO India

Global payroll solution provider Ramco Systems announced it has partnered with BDO India LLP, part of the BDO international professional services organization with a presence in more than 162 countries. Ramco will serve as the technology platform provider, and BDO India will act as the payroll and managed services provider for outsourced payroll management of global payrolls.

Through the platform, organisations will have access to a unified view and control hub for all country payrolls. The platform, according to the company, offers ready-built and certified connectors with global HCM solutions and BDO’s ability to provide last-mile compliance.

Remote Adds Contractor Management Plus

HR platform Remote announced the addition of Contractor Management Plus, a safeguard against misclassification of contract workers that includes built-in global compliance and indemnity coverage of up to $1 million. The additional security, according to the company, mitigates risk for companies hiring contractors as efforts to combat contractor misclassification increase worldwide.
