Nick Day, Founder and Managing Director of JGA Recruitment Group in the United Kingdom and an executive coach to global chief HR officers (CHRO), entrepreneurs, and payroll leaders, is PayrollOrg’s Global Vision Award recipient for 2024.
Day received the award during the 42nd Annual Payroll Congress in Nashville, Tennessee this past May.
“The news came as an absolute surprise,” Day said. “It was an exhilarating moment that genuinely caught me off guard. I was overcome with disbelief and joy when I learned I would be honoured with the prestigious Global Vision Award.”
Day, who has nearly 20 years of experience in recruiting human resource and global payroll talent to support clients across the United Kingdom and Europe, became affiliated with PayrollOrg in 2019, when he featured then-GPMI on his podcast. That same year, Day attended his first Payroll Congress.
“Since then, my involvement has deepened as I have become an active editorial board member,” he said. “This commitment to PayrollOrg has been immensely fulfilling, as I know we share a common dedication to advancing the payroll profession.”
Day has hosted episodes of PayrollOrg’s PayTalk Podcast® and has been a contributor to PayrollOrg’s Global Payroll e-magazine and PAYTECH magazine.
Throughout his career, he has been the driving force in providing executive coaching, strategic influence, and consulting expertise to locate, attract, and engage passive HR and payroll talent for key business leaders.
He has also addressed the strategic importance that HR and payroll professionals have to business leaders through the launch of two leading podcasts that have received international recognition.
His recruiting efforts have enabled organizations to drive operational efficiencies and effectiveness in their global HR and payroll services.
Day said being named as one of a handful of Global Vision Award recipients carries a distinct level of prestige that is also quite humbling. Day added that this was a moment that he sincerely wished he could have shared with his beloved father, who recently lost his battle with cancer.
“I have dedicated two passionate decades to the payroll industry and receiving this award from the world's most prestigious payroll organisation fills me with immense pride and gratitude,” Day said. “It has also made me emotional, as this honour would have made my late father incredibly proud. Receiving the Global Vision Award is a humbling validation of my efforts and a powerful motivation to continue advocating for the advancement of the wonderful payroll profession.”
