Scotland-based activpayroll, a global payroll and employee mobility specialist, won the bronze award for “Best Payroll Outsourcing Partner” at the 2018 HR Vendors of the Year awards in Singapore. The event is one of Asia’s largest award shows dedicated to HR service providers and was introduced in order to identify and recognize the most trusted HR solution providers across the region.

Berliza Laurente, Payroll Operations Manager-APAC at activpayroll, said activpayroll’s Singapore office has seen tremendous growth since opening in 2013.

Ramco, KPMG Malaysia Join to Offer HR, Payroll Solutions

Ramco Systems, an enterprise software specialist, and KPMG Management & Risk Consulting (KPMG) announced they will collaborate to use Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, as a springboard to offer advanced cloud-based HR and payroll solutions for growth companies across the region.

KPMG will use Ramco’s HR and Global Payroll Platform as the cloud-based architecture to roll out its Business Platform as a Service (BPaaS). This will include core HR, payroll, travel, expenses, and time and attendance management, as well as features such as voice, chatbots, and mobility.

Ramco HCM services more than 450 customers worldwide and complies with statutory requirements across more than 45 countries covering Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and the U.K.

Virender Aggarwal, CEO of Ramco Systems, said the company has received many awards and recognitions for its Ramco HCM software, including from NelsonHall.

“Ramco focuses on bringing the latest technologies such as voice, chatbots, AI, and machine learning capabilities to HR and payroll,” Aggarwal said. “Our investment in building a robust platform with multi-country capabilities has been well-received. This collaboration with KPMG gives us the opportunity to bring our platform strength and further scale our presence in the Malaysia region.”

UCB Brings HR to the Cloud With SAP SuccessFactors Solutions

SAP SE announced that UCB, a global biopharmaceutical company, has implemented cloud-based SAP SuccessFactors solutions for human capital management (HCM) to help facilitate an intelligent, digital working environment. With the solutions rolled out to 7,500 employees across 35 counties, according to the company, UCB can focus on its people and deliver the consumer-grade experiences they expect at work while taking data privacy regulations into account.

According to the company, to improve the speed and quality of its critical business decisions, UCB migrated to one system of record in the cloud to bring all of its people data into one place, enabling the company to better understand and nurture its talent across the globe and match employees’ individual aspirations with company priorities.
