This year will mark the second time the Global Payroll Management Institute (GPMI) will offer the course “Managing Payroll Operations Across the Globe” in Dublin, Ireland.
The two-day certificate program, which is sponsored by Immedis, takes place March 28-29.
Returning to lead the course are Mary Holland, CPP, Global Director, Strategy, Development, and Training for GPMI; Mark Graham, Chief Revenue Officer at Immedis; and Max van der Klis-Busink, RPP, a global payroll professional based in the Netherlands.
During the course, attendees will get the opportunity to explore how people, processes, and technology interconnect global payroll operations to deliver timely payments and to ensure taxation and other compliance requirements are met. The program will also take a deep dive into companies’ payroll delivery models, the role of the governance committee, vendor management, data privacy, and providing sustainable business processes.
“The class will include in-depth discussions around critical elements such as understanding different cultures, diversity and inclusion, and talent development,” Holland said. “It will give attendees the tools and skills to establish business partnerships to be viewed as a dynamic, strategic leader.”
Last year, organizations from six different countries, including the United States, took part in the course. Companies that participated included Coca-Cola, Twitter, Payslip, Arista, Popay, and Schneider Electric, among others.
“It was a great opportunity not only to learn but also to meet payroll managers and industry colleagues,” said Aneta Dobrowolska, International Client Operations Manager for Payslip, who attended the course last year. “The delivery of the course was exceptionally well-structured, well-paced, and well-executed, which made the content easily understandable and digestible.”
Attendees can earn 12 Recertification Credit Hours (RCHs), 1.2 Continuing Education Units (CEUs), or 14 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits when attending the course.
